The album was produced by Boo Lawrence Mitchell, son of the 2010 deceased Willie Mitchell, who also produced works of John Mayer and Al Green and is played by the Hi Rhythm section consisting of The Hodges Brothers: Teenie Mabon Hodges, Leroy Hodges, Charles Hodges supplemented with Steve Potts, Lester Snell, the Memphis Horns and Normann Sisters. The album contains 8 songs written by Peter Koorn, 46 minutes, including 2 duets: Pain, with Tameka Big Baby, a locally famous singer from Memphis and Hello my Brother with Lannie McMillan, saxophonist, flutist and blues singer.
Peter Corn played as the opening act for R&B/Soul legends Solomon Burke, Wilson Pickett and Maceo Parker. In the Netherlands he performed at the Amsterdam Paradiso, Melkweg, Paard, Plan C, Tivoli, and lot’s of other venues. In march 2012 Peter was invited to attend the marker dedication of the Willie Mitchell’s Royal Studios and record Love is here by Waylo Records, the independent Memphis soul label run by Boo Lawrence Mitchell, (Al Green/John Mayer/Rod Stewerd) who engineered and produced the album in the Hi Rhytm sound featering the original Hi Rhytm section, The Hodges brothers, Teenie (composer of Love and Happiness and Take me to the River), Leroy and Charles with Lester Snell and Steve Potts. The Memphis Horns, The Norman Sisters and local songstres Tameka “Big Baby” The album is mastered by Larry Nix, mastering engineer of the Willie Mitchell Studios produced Hi Records albums and pressed on cd and vinyl.
